Scribble Stain Distress

6 May

Boabab Tree

A typical South African card. We stamped the tree with Distress Ink Vintage photo and coloured in with pencil. The green background is done using a craft sheet, Distress Ink and refill inks. Dab some Distress Ink stamp pad onto a craft sheet and a drop or two of another colour refill ink. Spray water onto the inks and pick up the colour with your card stock. The inks used was Vintage Photo and Peeled Paint refill ink. I found that instead of using like a scribble pattern of the refill ink, I used only a drop as the refill ink is very concentrated and if used in large quantities compared to the stamp pad, one does not get the colour from the stamp pad. The card is then put together as shown. Wire mesh was white, and was coloured in using the Distress Stamp pads as well as the Pine Needle Distress
